    Re: Was ist das?

Ciao, ricordano dei gettoni da bar di cui avete parlato ad aprile di quest'anno. Qualcuno saprà* sicuramente richiamare la discussione, io no, mi spiace.
Non vediamo la storia per come è ma per come siamo.

Take a look at this topic: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=9849&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=get toni&start=0

In that case the objects were of squared shape but much similar to yours.
    Ciao. Enzo

    Re: Was ist das?

Red Round Permit to Fly out of the Stalingrad Pocket. Item 100% original. Item 100% original. It was found at Gumrak (one of the two major German airbases in the Stalingrad area) near by city Stalingrad (Volgograd now), in Russia. This place is the most great battlefield at WWII period during August 21, 1942 – February 2, 1943!
This permits to leave the besieged 6th German Army by means of airplane. Were issued only to hard wounded soldiers, and also in special cases of subordinates to approval of the high command. Directly general Paulus personally. Deserters who tried to leave Stalingrad without such permits to fly, have been subordinated to retaliatory measures from Field Gendarmerie after a landing. Obviously the owner of this tag has not had time to take advantage of it, as military air base Gumrak has been grasped by the Soviet armie.

There were two types of such permits - the first in the form of a rhombus, the second was round, such as you see on a photo. Made from steel. Because of time lead to the ground, the exhibit has a little rusted, but still in a good condition, with a lot of an original red paint on both sides. Stalingrad permits were painted in different colors: red – for wounded, white - for the other reasons (For example evacuation of the valuable military staff), yellow (round) - give out in case of heavy illness (Especially Rare!). Size of tag – 40mm.
