Grouping/ Vietnam Recon Marine

Ciao Amici,
I recently purchased this grouping from another collector site. I usually do not collect Vietnam items, but I thought this was cool. This was a grouping to a Recon Marine by the name of Herman Diaz. He served in Vietnam and won the Bronze Star. He also stayed in the Marines over 30 years. After retiring he went to Riyadh, as a civilian contactor, and was killed in the suicide bombing there. Sad end for a tough Marine. His wife died two years later of grief. The grouping has his complete uniform, some gear, medals, papers, insignia, helmet, fighting knife, etc. It's a special grouping for an interesting man. Marine recon items are hard to find I am told. Here is some of it.

Recentemente ho acquistato questo gruppo da un altro sito collezionista. Io di solito non raccolgono gli oggetti del Vietnam, ma ho pensato che questo era freddo. Questo è stato un gruppo di un Marine Recon con il nome di Herman Diaz. Ha servito in Vietnam e ha vinto la Stella di Bronzo. Egli ha anche dormito nei Marines oltre 30 anni. Dopo il ritiro è andato a Riyadh, come un contattore civile, ed è stato ucciso in attentato suicida lì. Triste fine di una dura Marine. Sua moglie morì due anni dopo, del dolore. Il gruppo ha la sua uniforme completa, alcuni attrezzi, medaglie, documenti, insegne, casco, la lotta contro coltello, ecc E 'un gruppo speciale per un uomo interessante. Oggetti Recon Marine sono difficili da trovare mi hanno detto. Ecco alcuni di essi.

Molto, molto interessante!
Il particolare che mi colpisce di più sono le due tapes con il nome e la scritta Recon, non avevo mai visto niente del genere...
Per il resto, l'uniforme è una ERDL rip-stop a dominante verde, non si vede l'EGA sulla tasca sinistra, quindi probabilmente proviene dall'esercito. L'equipaggiamento è composto da spallacci M56, il cinturone sembra un modello WW2...
Sarebbe bello, se possibile, avere qualche foto in più e, magari, qualche foto e documenti dell'epoca...

I think the camo shirt is a "barracks shirt". He would not have worn a named shirt into combat. It looks like he cut the sleeves from this sCiao Gents,
Credo che la camicia camo è una camicia "caserma". Non avrebbe indossato una camicia di nome in combattimento. Sembra che ha tagliato le maniche di questa camicia per renderlo più confortevole. Solo una supposizione da parte mia.hirt to make it more comfortable. Just a guess on my part.

Pezzi veramente spettacolari! Complimenti!
In particolare gli shorts "tiger stripe" sono molto particolari e molto rari da vedere! Sono un vezzo che molti soldati statunitensi erano soliti procurarsi in Vietnam. Se ne trovano molti con il mimetismo ERDL, ma Tiger è veramente difficile vederli!
Molto interessante anche il tesserino del MACV e gli altri documenti!

Things very spectacular!
In particular the shorts "tiger stripes" are very rare! Those were common in Vietnam, but often in ERDL camoflage, in Tiger camo are very rare!

Wo-hoo!!! Broski, this one is really a great lot of items!!! There' s the life of a man inside them!!! Can you explain us what is this kind of red dogtag?

The red tag is for divers and a reminder to have the Marine taken to the decompression chamber in case he is hurt underwater. I had a red tag for my dogtags, but it was a for my allergy to penicillin. Need to know in case of wounding.
