The one posted was for medics . Medics had 2 canteens , one for them , as issued to all the troops and the one liter for the wounded . Since they were carried and meant to be removed quickly , they were issued with long straps and no hooks . The one for the GBJ had the clip , since they had to be secured while climbing around etc... a loose canteen while climbing would have been dangerous , try climbing with it and you will see what I mean

la prima postata è per medici. I medici avevano 2 borracce una per se come quelle di tutta la truppa ed una per i feriti. Dato che la dovevano trasportare e rimuovere velocemente non aveva ganci ma una lunga "cinghia"
La prima degli alpini ha il gancio perchè dovevano essere sicuri durante le scalate........... il resto sono cazzate.
