I agree that this is a German made AR-15. The 223 cartridge is too light for hunting larger animals like deer or feral pigs. To kill effectively, you need to sneak very close to be sure of hitting the heart.

The bullet is also too fast for smaller game like rabbits and turkey. It easily kills those, but it ruins the meat.

The 223 is very good for killing coyotes and fox, though. I have shot many hundreds of a rodent here called a 'prairie dog' using a 223 rifle. They are not for eating - just a severe nuisance that ruins pastures for horses and cattle.

The rifle you name looks very interesting. I would like one, but I spend all my gun money on Italian military rifles!
