C'è aria di "casa"anche per me in questi ricordi.... mio nonno ( mio omonimo ) , il seniore Carlo Cicconi Massi, fu il comandante in seconda della 108 btg CCNN d'assalto aggregata alla div.Messina, composta di molti marchigiani. Cadde eroicamente quel giorno 18 luglio del'41 in jugoslavia a seguito degli aspri e noti combattimenti che seguirono....fu decorato alla memoria con la medaglia d'argento al VM.
