Carcano 91/41 rifles
Afternoon Gents,
I thought I would post pics of four of my 91/41's. I like these rifles because they can have different characteristics in their receiver markings, dates, slings and sometimes with scarce front side hood slots.
This first example is a late war Terni I think. It has a canvas sling. This example is near mint and I don't think it was ever issued. Interestingly, it is a veteran brindback as it has no import marks and has a "duffle cut" under the front barrel band to fit the rifle in a soldiers duffle bag during the war. Unusual piece.
Gents di pomeriggio, ho pensato che inviassi un pics di quattro del mio 91/41's. Gradisco questi fucili perché possono avere caratteristiche differenti nelle loro marcature della ricevente, le date, imbracature ed a volte con le scanalature limitate del cappuccio della facciata frontale. Questo primo esempio è una guerra ritardata Terni che penso. Ha un'imbracatura della tela di canapa. Questo esempio è menta vicina e non penso che si sia pubblicata mai. Interessante, è un brindback del veterano poichè non ha contrassegni dell'importazione ed ha "un duffle tagliato" sotto la fascia anteriore del barilotto per misura il fucile in un sacchetto di duffle dei soldati durante la guerra. Parte insolita.

Here is another Terni, but with only the Crown and Star. There is no Christian or Fascist date. This example was imported back in the late 50's I believe based on the type of import mark it has. It says "Made Italy". This is the QB block. The prior rifle was of the QR block of rifles. Both are RSI 91/41's I believe. This example is interesting as it has a slot cut out for a sight hood at the front sight. I have put a German sight hood on the rifle before, but it does not fit well. I think another type hood was intended. Any thoughts? Here she is...
Qui è un altro Terni, ma con soltanto la parte superiore e la stella. Non ci è data cristiana o Fascista. Questo esempio è stato importato indietro verso la fine degli anni 50 che credo basato sul tipo di contrassegno dell'importazione ha. Dice "l'Italia fatta". Ciò è il blocchetto di QB. Il fucile anteriore era del blocchetto di QR dei fucili. Entrambi sono RSI 91/41's che credo. Here is a 41 dated Terni. This one has been imported and has an etched serial number on the receiver. I also believe it has been refinished by the importer.
Qui sono i 41 datati Terni. Questo è stato importato ed ha un numero di serie inciso sulla ricevente. Inoltre credo che refinished dall'importatore.
