I found this helmet at a local yardsale in Lubbock yesterday. I am very excited because I paid very little for it. Sometimes we get lucky. It looks like a late war swivel bail helmet with the seam in the back. The liner is well used and has the name "Tex Beck" scratched into the front of the liner. "Tex" was a very popular nickname for US soldiers that were from Texas during WWII, but in non-Texas based Divisions. It appears to have the earlier khaki-strap and fixture, but it has the addition of a ball snap as well. Is this from WWII? Unusual for me to see as I am not well versed in US militaria. The net came with the helmet, but was very clean compared to the rest of the helmet. The people at the yardsale said their children use to play with the helmet when they were younger, but it did not originate with the family. Any help from the helmet collectors would be appreciated. Oh, I paid $5.00! Very cheap...and very lucky I think.

Ho trovato questo casco in un locale in Lubbock yardsale ieri. Sono molto emozionato perché ho pagato molto poco per questo. A volte ci fortunato. Sembra che un ritardo di guerra girevole cauzione casco con la cucitura sul retro. La linea è usata e ha il nome di "Tex Beck" graffiato nella parte anteriore della linea.
