Saluti a tutti. Non parlo italiano, quindi scriverò in inglese.

Two months ago, during spearfishing near peninsula Kamenjak (Premantura), I've found an object of characteristic shape. For the past two years, my second hobby was studying K.u.K. history so I already had an idea what this could be.

I've returned to the place with a steel brush and cleaned the rear part searching for grooved rings. After few strokes with the brush, I saw the rings! So this must be a grenade from Küstenhaubitzbatterie Gomila. Interesting fact is that the direction of the grenade on the sea floor perfectly fits the direction of launching from Gomila.

I've also took the measurements, diameter is 42cm, length is 135cm.

Is a very interesting object but, in these conditions, is quite dangerous. Avoid touching it!

Ofcourse, there is no reason to touch it anymore. Some underwater places around Pola are full of concrete (fake) bombs that were thrown from airplanes. I just wanted to make sure this is not a fake before reporting it to the police.
