I thought I would share a bit of WWII Marine gear and equipment. This first item is a WWII Marine seabag. It is interesting as it appears that the Marine H.M. Vincent served in the 1st Marine Division during WWII and eventually, at some point, before or after WWII ended up in Guantanomo, Cuba. His seabag has the 1st Marine tactical unit symbol that was used in the field in the pacific. It was popular for artistic Marines to paint or draw pictures or symbols on their seabags. On one side there is the Eagle, Globe and Anchor....on the other a Marine Drill Instructor. I have not researched H.M. Vincent, but he may have been a drill instructor at one time. There is additional military unit abbreviations that need to be deciphered yet. Unusual item.

Era popolare affinchè i fanti di marina artistici vernici o disegnare le immagini o i simboli sui loro seabags. Da un lato ci è l'aquila, il globo e l'ancoraggio....on l'altro un istruttore marino del trivello. Non ho ricercato H.M. Vincent, ma può essere un istruttore del trivello contemporaneamente. Ci sono abbreviazioni militari supplementari dell'unità* che devono essere decifrate ancora. Articolo insolito.
