Here is a WWII issue Silver Star in the original WWII box. This particular example was made in WWII, but was issued to a soldier in Vietnam. This example was never engraved, but it has the original engraving card dated Dec. 1968. My dealer tells me the engraving card is hard to find and usually not with the box. The older medals were issued, if they were in stock, along with the newer made ones. He tells me that the ribbon was usually not with the WWII medals. I am not an expert on these medals and I am subject to his expertise on this issue. The case and medal are very well used and must have been worn with pride by the Veteran. Many of these medals are not engraved I am told. ssshh...don't tell my Fratellone, but this is his Christmas present! haha[] haha...I could not keep the secret and already told him! I am weak!

Le più vecchie medaglie si sono pubblicate, se fossero in azione, con quelle fatte più nuove. Mi dice che il nastro non sia stato solitamente con le medaglie di WWII. Non sono un esperto su queste medaglie e sono conforme alla sua perizia su questa edizione. Il caso e la medaglia molto bene sono usati e devono essere consumati con orgoglio dal veterano. Molte di queste medaglie sono non inciso io mi dico a. lo ssshh... non dice al mio Fratellone, ma questo è il suo Natale presente! haha[
