Sono possibili informazioni su un austriaco ufficiale dell'esercito tedesco nella seconda guerra mondiale? Le mie ricerche sono state infruttuose.
Ho scritto al museo della guerra di Vienna:
" Dear responsible of the Office
... I am very interested about the first and second world war history of the Austrian armed forces . During the month of December in a vintage market in Bologna I have found a military jacket with the overcoat of the same owner. The uniform is without the German branch and rank collar insignia but in the internal side of the jacket and the overcoat there is the name of the owner: Lt R. NeŠ¯meister, the date: 9.9.1939 and the tailor's shop: Tiller A. G. Wien VII Maria Hilfestrasse 22. I would like to take some informations about the history of the officer and I think that is not easy to bring to light these but perhaps you are the only institution which can known the regiment of appurtenance and discover if the leutnant survived at the war. May you help me in this research?"
Molto gentilmente ho avuto immediata risposta: "Thank you for your e-mail. You can apply for the required information at the "Österreichische Staatsarchiv",

Sehr geehrter Herr .......,

ohne den Vornamen und das genaue Geburtsdatum von Leutnant R. Neumeister ist eine personenbezogene Recherche in den Beständen des Archivs der Republik nicht möglich. Weiters müsste aus datenschutzrechtlichen Gründen bei Auffinden von Unterlagen über Personen, deren Geburtsjahr keine hundert Jahre zurückliegt ein Todesnachweis vorgelegt werden. Als Todesnachweis werden Kopien der Sterbeurkunde, Todesanzeige, Parte etc., aber auch diesbezügliche Mitteilungen in historischer Fachliteratur akzeptiert.
